In today's news: Murder rate in Oxford due to soar for next six weeks.

January 7th, 2013 (06:20 pm)

In other words - the good news: New series of Lewis starts tonight.

The bad news: It's the last series. (On the other hand, last year's pilot of Endeavour has led to a full series, but I honestly was a lot less excited about that than I am about Lewis.)

The even worse news: For some bizarre reason, they've decided to abandon the usual "1 x 2-hour story per week" format, and are instead broadcasting 1 x 1-hour episode (2 episodes per story) per week. I know. Rhyme or reason have obviously been checked in at the door...

keble

1. Very well, I shall wait for the DVDs, which will enable me to watch whole episodes.
2. The last series, eh? I believe I heard Lewis say that it probably would be. Or at least, the actor said it.
3. Endeavour as a series? Sounds good. Any evidence that it will be a full series, apart from the Guardian saying it could well be one? For once, they might have said something right.

Can't find any specific confirmation about either this being the last Lewis or Endeavour going to series, beyond it being reported on Wikipedia, with one newspaper report about Endeavour.

Pretty much my thoughts. :-) Still, determined to enjoy it while it's on - one of my favourite programmes.
