...it really would probably be definitely a good idea to not read stuff online that I know is just going to make me angry and upset. I should value my mental health a bit better...

*hugs* I do the same thing knowingly and frequently upset myself in ways that could be entirely avoided. Your words about valuing your mental health a bit more have really hit me and from now on I am going to think about that before going somewhere online that I will regret. Hope you feel less upset soon.

Just applies to all kinds of media: Always have a good build-in filter. Otherwise you're going to die from anger.

I have the exact same problem - but I am not sure how to stop reading things that upset me without deleting my entire presence off the internet!

I have the same problem. I work in politics so I read a lot of news, and end up yelling "FFS!" on a regular basis.

Every so often I have a week off from the news. It's lovely. :)
