Star Wars in wax

February 5th, 2015 (07:33 am)

Star Wars exhibition opening soon at Madame Tussauds.

Looks like it could be worth a visit. I'm guessing (because I genuinely don't know) that the Stephen Mansfield interviewed in the video is the same one who worked on Doctor Who in the 1980s.

A colleague at work recently mentioned this sci-fi museum in the midlands.

Speaking of the Midlands, might be popping up to this in a little over a week. The guest list isn't particularly massive, but it'll be nice to meet with badfalcon and whiskyinmind

There's going to be an offical Doctor Who Lego set. Possibly a whole range. Some people just want my money, don't they?

On which note, Big Finish have announced The Sixth Doctor's last adventure. Not Colin's last adventure, as he'll go on to record more stories with them, but a proper epic send-off for Sixie, that beats the "Sylvester McCoy in Colin's suit and a blond wig lying on the TARDIS floor" we got at the start of Time and the Rani. Although presumably they also have to tie in with that and not contradict it, which will be interesting to see.

Speaking of Lego, I'd quite like this. And this. And this, although where we'd put it is anyone's guess...

I Need A Hug

ooh to the sci-fi museum and star wars madame tussauds... i would be flappyhands-ing but i'm at work and have already been laughed at for getting over-excited once today.

And yes, it'll be good to see you again too - can't help with accomodation in Telford though, unless you're wanting a living room floor.

I suspect I'll try to make it there and back in a day, although I need to check journey times.

Yep, thats my ex business partner during the Dr Who years and mate Mansfield. :)

I think this exhibition will be worth a visit as they do seem to be making a big effort to get things as authentic looking as possible.
