If I get stuck in a weird time loop. I'm *totally* blaming Bill Murray
Okay, for the past few weeks, I've been doing a thing. The thing involves giving myself a budget of £10:00 a week, and spending it on the cheapest item on my Amazon wishlist. And then the difference gets rolled into the kitty the following week, so eventually I might be able to afford some of the less cheap items on the wishlist. At the moment, everything I'm getting is sub-£2:00 through Amazon marketplace.
Today's item was the DVD of Groundhog Day.
Estimated delivery? 23rd January - 3rd February.
I mean the likelihood is that it'll be with me about next Wednesday - it's normally about a week between order and delivery - but there's a chance, however slim, that Groundhog Day might arrive on Groundhog Day. Or the day after. Not sure which would be weirder.
What I do know is that I won't be celebrating by watching it on Groundhog Day. I'm still gradually working my way through it from when it was shown on one of the digisatcable channels last May. Every so often, I'll sit down, wonder what to watch, and think, "oh, I've not finished that yet," and bung it on for a few minutes. It's like my own personal Groundhog Day on the Sky+ box. All very meta.
(I really ought to have this as my 'phone alarm tone, shouldn't I?
It goes off at 6:00am as well...)
