*For younger readers, "Opal Fruits" are now known by the horrendously modern name of "Starburst", and have been for something like 14 years. Unless you're in America, in which case they've been called Starburst for about 45 years, and indeed have never been called anything else. However, I insist on calling them Opal Fruits, partly 'cos that's what I grew up with, but mostly because, in a field dominated by tosh, "Opal Fruits - made to make your mouth water" is still a memorable advertising jingle after all these years.
