Geek love

I love Sarah. Absolutely to bits. There are many aspects of her personality that make me fall in love with her more and more every day.

One of the things I love most about her is her sheer, unbridled, utter geekiness.

For example, the other night I came home and found that she was watching a DVD to which she'd treated herself, about The Spartans.

I had to ask whether this for her personal interest, or for her OU degree (which, this year, is covering a lot of classical ancient world stuff). That's the sort of person Sarah is - it could, genuinely, have been either.

As it happens, it was the former, although she admitted that it might come in handy for some aspects of the course. :-)

(Incidentally, this is her final year. Hopefully, come next summer, we'll be a two-degree household. Really looking forward to her graduating and everything. Rather disappointingly, she says there will be no mortarboard. There will be a gown, though.)
