The Light at the End...

...of the tunnel is not the oncoming train. It's Big Finish's announcement of their Doctor Who 50th anniversary production (called The Light at the End, hence the title of the post). Details so far announced are here, but basically, it's a multi-Doctor epic, starring BF's full rota of Doctors (Tom, Peter, Colin, Sylvester, and Paul), each with a relevant companion (Louise Jameson, Sarah Sutton, Nicola Bryant, Sophie Aldred, and India Fisher), along with Geoffrey Beevers and...guest stars.

I can't be the only person who's really hopeful that they'll get David Tennant in to reprise his role as Colonel Brimmicombe-Wood from their UNIT audios, can I? I mean, as far as I know, the whole rights situation hasn't changed, they're not allowed to use anything from the 2005+ series, but if they could just get Tennant in as an actor, it would be marvellous.

(I *must* update that "giving monsters nightmares" userpic for the 50th anniversary year...)
