How wonderful is this? There's an annual Father Ted convention, Tedfest. It's not particularly small (250 attendees), nor is it desperately far away (unsurprisingly, it seems to be at or near the location used for Craggy Island). They could teach some Doctor Who fans a thing or two about cosplay, it looks splendid fun, and Dermot Morgan's son is involved in the organising, which is lovely.
On the negative side, this year's is eight days away, which is a.) a bit short notice to book, and b.) a bit of a schedule clash with Redemption, and I'm physically incapable of attending two conventions at the same time, although I only wish it were possible.
