So, just lately I've been watching Orphan Black, and, apart from obvious stuff like, "hell's teeth, this is excellent" (seriously, check it out if you possibly can; depending on where you are that may involve slightly less than licit means of viewing; I've no idea when BBC3 will actually be showing it, although they apparently will; mind you, according to Amazon the UK DVD/Blu-Ray release is set for September 16th), my main thought is that just through this one series Tatiana Maslany may have stolen Mark Sheppard's crown as "busiest person in genre TV". She plays (not terrifically major spoiler, as it's kind of the premise of the whole show) several identical clones, often as many as four in one episode, with many scenes involving two or even three meeting up, so, lots of work involving shooting the same scene two or three times. You've got to admire the work she puts in, and also the quite invisible effects work. There's one scene in particular in the sixth episode that you don't realise quite what they're getting away with until you stop and think about it...
But yeah. Go. Check it out.
