Neil before your lord Gaiman*.

August 19th, 2013 (09:25 pm)

So, this is happening tomorrow.

There are no words for how much I'm looking forward to it. Admittedly, it could be argued that the 90-minute drive from work to Ely, and the subsequent 90-minute drive back home, are perhaps, well, y'know, a trifle excessive. But hey, it's Neil Gaiman. Opportunities like this don't come up very often.

Actually, what with The Mousetrap on Friday, and a Cardiff trip at the weekend (taking in the Doctor Who Experience with TARDIS set tour on Sunday), this is lining up to be quite an active week.

*It was either that or "The Gaiman is afoot," and although I know he's written a Sherlock Holmes story, I didn't think that was really desperately relevant to the event that's happening. Whereas the one I went with, is. Particularly as tomorrow's event is taking place in a cathedral...

Gaiman will certainly be worth it. We caught him on the Stardust tour last year and he was one the best speakers I've seen. Only the William Shatner tour scored better marks.

Oo enjoy! He always seems brilliant when I see the things he writes on twitter, and on his blog. And apparently he's a wonderful speaker at his book tour events.
