Whether the weather be...erm...

I managed to avoid the storm yesterday by the intriguing (and, as Sarah pointed out, rather extreme) tactic of driving from Beith (Ayrshire) to Hemel Hempstead. Also, having left reasonably soon after checking out of the hotel, and despite a bit of cloggy up stuff on the M6 Junctions 10 - 8, I managed to get home by about 8:00pm (this included a few stops at services, including one for lunch), which was a.) not bad and b.) a distinct improvement on Friday's journey in the opposite direction...

Ironically, although the weather in Scotland had been rather wet and windy over the weekend, when I woke up on Monday morning it was pleasantly bright and clear. I wish I'd been able to spend more time there, actually. Hopefully next time...
