...we ended up going to St. Albans after all. I figured I can do the test run to my new place of employ tomorrow, there's no urgency, and frankly St. Albans is a much nicer place to visit for a spot of shopping. It has a Waterstones. 'Nuff said.

Also, I got my hair cut* while I was there. A pleasantly geeky barber shop that had some classic r&b playing (including Cream, Sunshine of your love) and where the reading material included Guardians of the Galaxy and Wolverine. So...I look reasonably smart. I can't remember when I last had my hair cut. It sometimes ends up being Quite A While (I've known it to be a year). The last time I remember having it cut was when Sarah and I were in Ireland, but that was April 2013, and I'm pretty sure I've had it cut once since then. Probably last February/March, around the time I started looking for work after being made redundant - I vaguely recall saying that I'd get it done whilst I was in Ireland on my own, but I'm not sure if I did.

Just been out to Tesco, and found myself earworming this:

Which is a great little song, IMO.

*Which of the manifold hairs on sir's head would sir like me to cut for sir..? To lapse briefly into A Bit of Fry & Laurie...
