Coupling - Stuck in the Giggle Loop

...was going to be the day of the big move. Well, hiring a van and taking loads of stuff from the lock-up in Barking to Sarah's new place in Bishop's Stortford.

Sarah, however, has been snowed in today, so it didn't happen. And yesterday was a bit different to what she'd intended - the original plan involved driving to Bishop's Stortford, taking with her some of the clothes she's currently got at her mum's, and picking up the keys. Unfortunately, the car, once she'd driven out of the garage (at the top of a slope) promptly slid down the slope and proved impossible to budge. So she travelled to BS by tube and train, not taking the clothes with her.

She at least has the keys, and so far the deferred plan is to do all the shifting stuff from the lock-up tomorrow, allowing for the roads having been suitably gritted and the weather easing up a bit.

In the meantime, I've been vaguely productive, boxing up more books and magazines for either moving into the new house with me or putting into storage until we get somewhere more permanent, and chucking out loads of unwanted paperwork (thankfully less emotionally triggering than the stuff I was going through the other day).

Also doing more importing of video stuff into my computer and thusly converting it to .avi files and adding to an ever more mountainous pile of wipe-able VHS tapes. If anyone wants any effectively blank videos, please let me know..?

And I'm thinking of running a sort of sweepstake thingy. Guess how many boxes full of books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, paperwork, and other assorted miscellany I'll need to pack all my possessions into in order to facilitate this move. I'm using mainly the sort of boxes you get photocopy/printer paper in ('cos Tim can bring them home from work fairly easily). I'm reckoning it's going to be at least 200, but beyond that I've no idea. Go on, have a guess. Person who gets closest might get some sort of prize thingy. What, I've no idea.

Haven't taken my anti-depressants. Need to take them before I go to bed.
Coupling - Stuck in the Giggle Loop

...I just dug up an old interview with John Barrowman (shown on BBC Breakfast the day before The Empty Child went out, so...old), and...I just love it when he reverts to his Glasgow accent.
