Coupling - Stuck in the Giggle Loop

The cat's mother. Or *my* mother, at least.

When I was a young lad, my mother - apparently in some kind of attempt to dissuade me from using the third person singular female pronoun - would tell me, "'she' is the cat's mother!"

She (oh, whoops) didn't succeed very well. She (whoops again) has also made it quite difficult to take the Charles Aznavour song, or indeed the Elvis Costello version as used on one of my all-time favourite films Notting Hill, remotely seriously. After all, I now have alternative lyrics, for the first six syllables at least...

  • Вт, 15:10: (And yes, Linda Thorson. First Avengers I saw - Channel 4, c. 1984 - were her eps. Came to Diana Rigg later.)

Transformers - Primus

"Keep it secret, keep it safe," kind of implies "don't flog it down the local charity shop..."

So, now that I've got the entire lord of the Rings collection on nice shiny blu-ray, it could be argued that my R1 edition of The Two Towers is a bit surplus to requirements, but on the other hand I did once get it signed by Sir Ian McKellen, so that means I'm bally well keeping it.

Tech being weird

Anyone else out there have those moments when apps don't always come up as having had an update issued when you log into the app store (this, in my case, specifically refers to apps for the iPhone, but may also apply to other platforms). I find it, well, rather annoying.

In related news, I'm rather adoring the latest version of the Livejournal iPhone app, which not only fixes some minor glitches but is almost a different app entirely. Lovely stuff.
