...about playing the piano (well, actually one of these, don't ask me which one) for two consecutive Sundays in Advent is that last week I got Lo! He comes with clouds descending and next week I've got O come, o come Emmanuel, two of my utter utter favourites. So no complaints there, then. :-)
I'd love to be one of the people who thinks it's OK to break the law on the road. Y'know, little things like doing about 60+mph in a 50mph zone (or 80+mph in a 70mph zone), changing lanes or maneuvering entire roundabouts without bothering to indicate, chatting on mobile 'phones when they're driving down the M1, that sort of thing. Just to find out why they think it's OK...
(Or conversely, why should I bother trying to follow the rules of the road when other people can't be bothered? Either way, mmph.)
...was fun. The usual overzealous security guards rushing you along (which considering that the event seemed to be rather undersubscribed was a particular shame, and the standing around queueing and being herded into little pens like cattle, but apart from that, a good day. John Barrowman and Eve Myles were really rather lovely. Here, have a picture of them. :-)
In related news:
a.) I spent most of the day traipsing around London and my feet, at the end of the day, were killing me. Feeling a bit better now, though.
b.) I doubt I'll be able to make it to this tonight. :-(
Today is obviously a good day for dusting off an album I used to love and letting it wash over me as I update information on the computer.
Also, wondering why LJ doesn't seem to be its usual "Automatic crossposting to Twitter and Facebook" thing, but after a couple of days of DDoS, I should be grateful for anything right now...
...watching Sunday's BBC2 documentary How to BuildA Satellite. I think it's giving her ideas. :-) Not least because the company featured in the programme has a base in Stevenage, which is not too far from where we live.
Later we'll be watching Frozen Planet, and hopefully cuddling each other.
And tomorrow I'm taking Sarah down to the GP for an ECG.
