Coupling - Stuck in the Giggle Loop

Face, bovvered. Whatever (will be).

I wonder if Doris Day ever knew (or indeed cared) that a whole generation of British kids grew up knowing this:

...as this:

It doesn't help that I don't know the original very well - I can't get more than a couple of lines in without lapsing into, "will it be mushrooms..?" Although it may be even worse now - thanks to an ISIHAC episode I was listening to the other day, I can't see myself getting beyond, "here's what she said to me," without going into "son, you'll be a bachelor boy." !!!

In rather annoying news...

...have just cooked a cake (one of my famous lemon cakes - do not touch if you are even mildly allergic to citrus fruit...) for the church barn dance and managed to badly burn it. Looks like in our fan oven we have to knock a good five minutes off even the minimum time in the recipe book.

Am actually rather upset by this. Still, off we go. Via Tesco to buy a cake. :-(

Am I alone in thinking that this sounds really interesting? DVD's out in Tesco, although it's totally vanilla so I think I'd prefer the Blu-Ray. But even so, might check it out.
