Coupling - Stuck in the Giggle Loop

Good news, *meh* news

Just managed to clear over 16GB of unneeded clutter from my hard drive. Yay!

OTOH, had vaguely thought I might pop out for a walk this afternoon if the weather was nice, but I'm in Britain and there's a hosepipe ban on, so of course it's chucking it down out there. ^_^ Seemed to be pretty windy earlier, but that sounds like it's died down a bit.

Someone is taking the mickey here...

So not only is the Star Trek London "convention" stupidly overpriced (£2999 for a platinum ticket? At that price I'd expect them to have raised Gene Roddenberry from the dead...never mind that the cheapest price at which you get to meet the five main guests appears to be the £899 gold ticket; pity, even as a non-Trek fan I wouldn't mind meeting Scott Bakula and Patrick Stewart...for a reasonable price)...

...not only that, but according to the Terms & Conditions, "You may not create a link to this website from another website or document without Media 10's prior written consent."

Oh well, that means I can't provide a link to the site so that on the offchance that you *did* have that sort of money and were interested you could go and have a look and decide for yourself whether you wanted to go. You'll just have to look it up on Google.

Hey ho. In the words of Arthur Dent, "if that's their sales pitch, what must it be like in their complaints department?" I suspect the whole thing'll end up being cancelled because of lack of interest...pricing yourself out of the market will do that...
Coupling - Stuck in the Giggle Loop

Had rather a lovely day yesterday - went into London to meet with kharma2815, saw Avengers Assemble together, then had a bite to eat at the nearby Garfunkel's on Leicester Square. Very enjoyable day, all told. Good to meet up with a friend and have lovely geeky chat as well as seeing a hugely marvellous film.

On the way in, an advert featuring this rather wonderful picture caught my eye. (What can I say? I'm a sucker for Canaletto.) It was advertising this exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. Must suggest it to Sarah when she's back home.

Also, this. Have been saying to Sarah for some time that I'd really like for us to go to Legoland together. Hoping this might persuade her to go for it! :-)
