Doctor Who - Eleven Cold War

Journey to the centre of pure speculation...

I'm not going to post in any great depth about the filming for the 50th anniversary story which has been going on for the past two or three weeks and from which all manner of tantalising pictures (mainly unofficial) and casting (and non-casting) announcements have emerged.

Nor am I going to post about the recently announced title for the series finale, which sounds tantalising, but there's still another four episodes to go.

What I am going to post about is the imminent, um...5th episode in this half of the season. The title, "The Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS," was announced a while ago, and made me think very much of...erm...Serial C of the classic series. Which, depending on your mileage's variance, might be "The Edge of Destruction," "The Brink of Diaster," or "Inside the Spaceship." The two-parter set entirely in the TARDIS, anyway.

And then the poster was released the other day.

I mean, it's clearly drawing on the same Escher-esque inspiration as Castrovalva. Which also featured two episodes set mainly in the TARDIS. Of course, that could be highly misleading, but it's making me wonder where all this could be going. The Zero Room, possibly? I'm definitely Very Intrigued about this, anyway...

(Apparently, the episode will also include the voice of Christopher Eccleston, in dialogue lifted from...well, one of his stories. The line about "the assembled hordes of Genghis Khan." I wonder if, erm, any other past Doctors will be featured..?)
