Thanks to the opening of this week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (the montage set to this song), I have this bizarre scenario going round my head of a '60s London-set spinoff featuring Simmons as an Emma Peel-type in Mary Quant dresses.
Maybe an AU.
It's a crazy idea, but it could just work.
...on a bit of a roll, productively speaking, and now I seem to have run out of steam.
Still, good to sit down and take stock occasionally.
Am vaguely thinking I might head out cinema-wards later today to see Gone Girl. Am vaguely annoyed that Pride doesn't seem to be showing at the local cinema any more. Still showing at Watford, though. Can't find Magic in the moonlight at either, which is annoying as I could quite fancy seeing that.
...and less than 20 minutes in, I'm already questioning a.) whether Rapunzel's hair would really have grown that long in just 18 years, even under a strict regime of not having it cut ever*, and b.) whether Flynn and Maximus would really have survived that massive fall when the tree breaks.
I know. Arguing with biology and physics in animated films. Whatever next?
(What makes this possibly worse is that I watched the entirety of Saturday's Doctor Who without once questioning the science...in my defence, I was kind of distracted by averting my gaze whenever horrible arachnids appeared.)
*Handwave explanation: her adoptive kidnapper mother is a witch, so maybe she makes it longer by magical means?
