Walks

I was reading an article on the BBC news app the other day about people who choose to work on Christmas Day, and was intrigued by the London Walks company mentioned in the first piece of the article. It's too late this year for Sarah and I to go on one of their Christmas Day walks, as we've already made plans for Christmas Day that involve not being in London, but they do a wide range of other walking tours throughout the year (and not all in London - I'm kind of interested by the possibility of Canterbury), but there's another Dickens walk on Boxing Day, and loads of other interesting walks the year round. I think if we don't do Boxing Day, we're likely to do at least one over the week between Christmas and New Year, as Sarah has the time off work. We're also thinking of doing the Sherlock Holmes-related A Hollow Body walk/interactive experience, and following that up with the Sherlock Holmes exhibition at the Museum of London.

Being too nice contributes to depression. Yeah, I can see where this is coming from...

10 indie sci-films to look out for in 2015. I'm looking forward to finally being able to see Predestination. Well, legitimately. Well, legitimately without having to order a DVD from Australia.

The Universal Typeface experiment. "Unifying the world’s handwriting into a universal typeface. Explore existing contributions, or add your own writing to the experiment." It's rather fascinating!

Someone's done a CGI video of BB-8 (the ball droid seen in the trailer for Star Wars - The Force Awakens) rolling around Tatooine. This is how he did it. Man alive, I wish I knew how to do CGI...

And here's the actual video:

Anybody else remember Quincy's Quest? It's on Youtube...
