Interesting copyright thingy...

..and I'm not referring to the "whole Stephen James Walker quotes Torchwood LJ fans in Something in the Darkness and they complain because he didn't ask permission first" shenanigans...

I watched the Family Guy Star Wars special last night, and I couldn't help noticing something. During the hyperspace sequence, a chunk of the opening sequence from Doctor Who 1974 - 1980 is used, including Tom Baker's face, along with the relevant theme tune. Nowhere in the programme's credits, however, is any acknowledgement given, either to the BBC or to whoever it is who owns copyright in the music - I think it's Chappell, but whoever it is I remember both in 1996 and 2005 there were questions over whether they'd grant use of the music to the versions of Doctor Who being revived in those years.

And no, it's nothing major, but it just struck me as a bit odd.
