Factor in the roadworks and that goes up to about one hour - and boy, it's roadworks-intensive. The whole of the M25 from Chorleywood to the M1, and after about the first 10 miles, a large chunk of the M1. I'm seriously looking forward to the move to Hemel Hempstead, which will eliminate the need to us the M25.
Anyway, for the past couple of weeks, I've got into the habit of leaving home at about 8:30am, getting to work at 9:30am.
This morning, I was feeling at a loose end and decided to just leave home at 8:15am. Unfortunately, I didn't get to work until...9:30am. Not sure why - just a bit of weight of traffic, I guess, as the M25 seemed a little busier than usual, and it didn't help that the roadwork section on the M1 was also slower than normal through the contraflow.
So now I'm just wondering how early I'd have to leave for it to make a difference to my arrival time? Say, to get in at 9:00am instead?
