Sarah and I are having a well-deserved break, staying in Tywyn, on the west coast of Wales; we're staying in a house owned by the family of one of Sarah's friends - having house-sat here earlier in the year we thought it'd be nice to come back. So here we are. Planning on a combination of nice and restful whilst occasionally going out to see what the area has to offer - the Talylyn steam railway is local to here, we've got the lifetime Cadw membership (so Harlech castle and Seguntion, a Roman fort, are both places we might visit), and we'd like to go to Portmeirion. Also, on the way back, Sarah - a fan of the Cadfael stories - said she'd quite like to visit Shrewsbury Abbey.
It's nice to get away from the unpacking that has so dominated the last couple of weeks; also, as my legs were getting rather tired from going up and down two flights of stairs on a regular basis, staying in a bungalow for a week will be a pleasant relief!
'Phone and internet are okay, in the cottage at least, so hopefully I'll post the occasional update.
