But what I don't like? The number of companions who are missing from the range. I mean, it's a well known gripe of mine and just about every Arthur Darvill fan the world over that there hasn't, so far, been a Rory Williams figure. Why??? Mmph. But the classic series range are, if anything, even worse.
Evidence for the prosecution:
Time Monster set containing the Master, the Master's TARDIS, the Kronos crystal, the Doctor's TARDIS sniffer-outer, but no Jo Grant (and also no Doctor).
Genesis of the Daleks set containing Doctor, Davros, two Daleks, but no Sarah,
Destiny of the Daleks> set containing Doctor, Davros, two Daleks, but no Romana (possibly the most iconic omission - Romana in her pink "faux Doctor" outfit is a classic June Hudson look).
Resurrection of the Daleks set containing Doctor, Davros, two Daleks, but no Tegan and no Turlough.
Revelation of the Daleks set containing Doctor, Davros, two Daleks, but no Peri.
Taking it to extremes, Remembrance of the Daleks set containing four Daleks, but no Doctor, no Ace, and not even an Emperor Dalek with foldaway lid to reveal Davros's head underneath (a missed opportunity, surely).
Evidence for the defence:
Vengeance on Varos set containing Peri, Sil, Sil's box, but no Doctor.
Evidence for the lavatorial:
The Time Warrior set, containing the Doctor, Linx, Linx's spacecraft, but no Sarah. What tickles me about this one is the way the seat inside Linx's spacecraft looks, basically, and no attempt to be discreet can possibly get around this, like a toilet. I mean, what?
Summing up:
Dear Character Options - please get your act together! At the very least we should have two or three sets of "companions we forgot to include with the original playsets". Or something along those lines.
