Is it me, or is Dan Radcliffe a lovely, wonderful, thoughtful actor? He comes across as son genuine and intelligent.
Anyway. I'm planning on watching HP 7.2 as soon as possible. I very nearly went to the cinema yesterday but decided against it. Probably either tomorrow or Wednesday. Or Friday. But anyway.
Also ordered Doctor Who - Paradise Towers and watched the making-of (very nice piece of work), followed by the first episode with the original unused score by David Snell. So much better than Keff McCulloch's "I've got a drum machine and I'm going to use it!" one. I'm actually quite fond of Paradise Towers as a story (although it all goes a bit to pot in episode four, with Richard Briers' zombie acting and a resolution described by one reviewer as "I'm sorry I tried to kill you earlier, now let's all be friends"), and Snell's score heightens the menace considerably.
And I may have ordered the Doctor Who Monopoly set. Ahem. Need to spread out the budget for the rest of the month - if nothing else, I'd like to get Lord of the Rings on Blu-Ray, and I'm hoping to go to Whooverville 3, which sounds like it should be a good fun enjoyable Doctor Who convention, and not particularly expensive.
In other news, the last of my counselling sessions was on Friday. I still have some issues I need to resolve (or at least work out how to deal with, in the absence of actual resolution), but I'm generally feeling a lot better. It helps that, on weekdays at least, I've been taking my anti-depressants fairly regularly (although I have an annoying habit of forgetting at weekends). I'm probably going to be going to some group counselling sessions at the surgery, but that will most likely not be until October at the earliest.
On Saturday afternoon Sarah and I went with our neighbours to Ashridge Estate. Didn't do much there, just had tea and scones, and a gentle wander round part of the estate, but there's loads to see there and it's not a particularly long drive, so I expect we'll be going back there in the not-too-distant. I might even climb to the top of the Bridgewater Monument.
And yesterday, I took Sarah to lunch at the local Toby Carvery, which is always enjoyable.
Now, back to work. I have 'phone calls to make. Must psych myself up...
